chesfel:
May I know what are the school uniforms for JH1-2? Heard that JH1-2 don't wear school uniforms and skirts

Hi chesfel, šŸ˜„ There is an illustration of JH girl's uniform here: http://nationaljc.moe.edu.sg/life-of-njcians/student-management-discipline/, scroll to 2.1, the picture on the left. In view of Boarding, I'd recommend 5 sets of school uniform (aka Full Grey). Full school uniform is worn ~3 times a week; uniform bottom is often worn together with Polo T top & House T-shirt (Polox1, Housex1 should be sufficient) on other days. The school is strict on attire & you need to change out of PE attire (into Full Grey) once PE lesson ends. Along the same line, if you have PE lesson, you are expected to have your PE gear. PE is ~twice a week. School uniform is made by http://www.schooluniforms.sg/index.php?route=product/manufacturer/info&manufacturer_id=54 (http://bibibaba.com/contact-us/getting-there sits in Far East Shopping Centre; for custom-made needs go to Henderson). PE attire can be purchased at the on-campus Popular bookstore all-year round.
Hi, parents. My psle result is 258+2, and I intend to NJC. How about Badminton CCA in NJC? Is it difficult to join? Thanks

I'm not familiar with Badminton CCA, but as far as I know, joining CCA of your choice in NJC is usually not too difficult as NJC does not have DSA Sports, so you don't have the situation where most of the spots in the more popular sports/CCA being already taken up by the DSA kids.

              Thanks a lot
Hello! If you're entering NJ in JH1, badminton will not be a CCA of choice because of the cafe system, where only niche CCAs are involved. Badminton is not one of our niche CCAs, and hence will not be available to JH1s as a co-curricular activity. If you're really interested in it though, you can try asking the CCA teacher ICs; otherwise you have to stick with a niche CCA for the first 2 years of JH life. I believe this is partly due to the cohort being very small, hence the total absence of large UG CCAs altogether.

NJC has this Talent Management Scheme where students talented in a particular CCA that NJC offers can apply to join the CCA during the first year. Don't have to wait till second year or third. I knew of a NJC girl who joined the Badminton CCA in her first year via the scheme.
