Travel: Australia - Gold Coast

hi all
I have just booked our Gold Coast Tour during the Natas Fair and we will be staying at the following 2 bed room apartment.
http://www.azzuragreens.com.au/
Go to the website and take a look. This resort is new, only completely this year, complete with kitchen, 2 bedrooms, dvd player, internet and is near to all the major attractions. Also , there is a supermarket right beside the resort.
Have a great holiday !

if december… please bring plenty of sunblock!
my family personally prefers autumn/winter holidays… so we visit oz in june… tried december but too many flies…
june is nice and a little chilly in the mornings/evenings which is what i like… by midday its like aircon in the outdoors… very comfortable temperature… can stay longer at the beach or outdoors in general.
had an evening of very light drizzle but thats about it… lasted for about an hour…
…
Azzura looks lovely man… but my kids and my wife would be bored to death…
personally i would welcome the rest and isolation from the shopping area… and sleep the whole day poolside…

Hi, may i noe what is the budget like to go gold coast? Is it suitable with a one year old bb?

insider:
AGREE!
1. I prefer to travel during autumn winter time as have had enough sunshine in Singapore... Seeing the kids running around literally sort of 'no sweat' is kind of heartwarming for me...

Thanks. Guess still practical for me to go since mine are still under2. Errr…my impression of Gold Coast is very ‘shallow’. Other than the theme parks that the kids like, there are no meaningful photos that I can share. Now asking my teenage kids to recall about their Gold Coast trip, they remember ‘theme parks lor. The batman’s car, etc’. Now if I were to offer my teenage kids Gold Coast again, they would politely decline… In my opinion, Gold Coast more suitable for kids below 14 years old to have a sense of ‘value for money’.
the young category.

This is interesting too!3. My teenage kids’ impression of the farm stay in Margaret River of Perth is much deeper (brought them there when they were about 5 and 7 years old). They can fondly recall the caving experience (I got a local guide to bring us to non-tourist cave and that caving experience was not easy over that part when we had to climb a 90 degrees vertical ladder of about 30 metres height without any safety harness). On the spot, I was quite worry about they might lose their grip and fall and luckily everything went smoothly and we safely completed the 1 hour adventure). We stayed about 5 nights at Sunflower Farm (http://www.totaltravel.com.au/link.asp?fid=1043094), morning helping the farmer to feed the animals, late morning go around Margaret River (horse riding, caving, wine sampling, etc). Kids seem to remember much better when they have interactions with live animals than with machines (like in theme parks). So far, been there twice (brought my youngest son there two years ago).
Ok, will research more!
Thanks for all the info!
Oh... and the pictures!
Love it! And i think your
figure is quite hawt, insider!
Woo hoo! After 3 kids,
you're one hawtie momma!

MUMMYOF3:
I am planning a trip as well and have booked Meriton Serviced Apartments. Depending on your budget, Q1 and Chevron Apartments are good too.Hi,

Contemplating a holiday in Gold Coast during the coming school holidays. Need some help on the following:
1. Has anyone been to Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort? Is it worth the trip?
2. Does it make sense to drive in Gold Coast?
3. If not, how do you get from airport to the hotel? And also to the various attractions? By public transport or does hotel provide transport service?
4. Has anyone been to Mt Tamborine? Good?
Thanks. -

We went to Gold coast in December 2009. It's probably like the hottest time to go there so it might affect our review. For us, it was like the 1st and the last time we will go there. We are not very impressed and found it quite of boring compared to Universal in Singapore now. We covered dreamworld and movie world. Also shops closed pretty early so it's quite boring at night.Contemplating a holiday in Gold Coast during the coming school holidays. Need some help on the following:

We went to Tangalooma and got a chance to feed the dolphins. For my kids (P2 and P3), as you got to feed the dolphins in the sea and the wave is alittle \"big\" for them, they were kind of scared. After feeding the dolphin, they ran back to the shore. Personally, i was alittle scared as found that it is not bright enough.
Besides, dolphin feeding, we also went for sand toboganning. My P2 and P3 did that and found it quite fun. They also get to see pelikan feeding in the morning. -
