Mean is not a good gauge of the entry criteria.

Mean could be a good reflector of how good an average student’s standard is in the particular JC.

        mindays:

TJC has an intake of approximately 600 students. I would like to point out that most JCs have students with L1R5 nett of 2, so it's not surprising at all. It is also highly unlikely that \"TJC may have large no. of students with 2, 3, 4 points, but took in the final 9 pointer, hence its COP\" as evident from the trend of TJC's COP for science which fell steadily in recent years from 6>7>8>9>?(probably a double digit, but who knows?). This tells us that TJC's COP of 9 is not something spontaneous, but rather the students' trust and impression on TJC.

However, I must emphasise that JCs with COP of a single digit are not bad. I would classify them as mid-top tier JCs.

Just to show (Science): (Apart from Raffles and Hwa Chong)
        National: 5
        Victoria: 5
        Nanyang: 6
        Anglo-Chinese: 7
        Anderson: 8
        St Andrews: 9
        Temasek: 9
I understand what you mean 😄
Since there is so much interest in discussing EJC's COP in this forum, I am trying to explain the possibility of a low COP for EJC, based on its small intake.

Using TJC's large intake as an example, I would think EJC COP will be smaller (ie better) than TJC:
Hypothetically if the 250th student that EJC and the 250th student that TJC take in score the same L1R5 nett score, let's say 5, then EJC's COP will be 5.
But TJC is still taking in the 251st to the 600th students. If the 600th student's L1R5 nett score is 9, then TJC's COP is 9.
That is despite the L1R5 spread of the 1st 250 students of both JCs being similar.

Probably at the end of Year 2 for admission into Year 3 ?

                  Hi Everybody!

I attended the Edusave Awards presentation with my boys this morning. MP Josephine Teo spoke about the new Bishan North CC before the ceremony and it will be located next to Eunoia JC. She mentioned that the facilities will also serve the JC, not too sure what she meant by that. The Eunoia JC canteen will be located below the stadium.

My boy is just starting Sec 1 in CHS and so it's still 4 years away, but sharing the 4 images the MP flashed just now with everybody here.......

How come the JC campus look so small? Is the stadium a public stadium or belongs to Eunoia JC? Any swimming pool? Seen like it will be a high rise JC…
