Can anyone share with me more about the classes for Pr 4 in Catholic ? e.g which class is GEP classes and main stream classes. I heard that Catholic grouping all children in mixed-ability classes. Is that true . If not, are there any best class .

The gep classes are Faithfulness n Gentleness

Mainsteam…joy,charity, kindness peace patience goodness

P4 Mainstream is mix ie no best class. But one mainstream class will join gep class for hcl/pe/art.

Cos I hardly find any new post of activities in the primary school section this year except post about prayers.

My husband is interested to enrol our sons i to Catholic High Primary. But we dont live in Bishan nor a alumni of CHP.

Any advice on the chances of getting in Phase 2c? Does parent volunteering helps?

You basically have no chance at all if you don’t live within 1km.

Nowadays, for CHS, Phase 2B & Phase 2C both need balloting for those within 1 km.

If you become a Parent Volunteer, but don't live within 1 km, you will not even be called for the balloting, even if you put in the required no. of hours of volunteer work.

Has the school revise the way they teach chinese: Revise to 先认字后拼英 OR retain the hanyu pinyin then learn chinese characters?
