      Thanks for the info.

Cannot appeal if dun meet the cop, right?

according to Straits Times report, published today (21 December 2016, Wednesday), it stated that :-

\"Those who did not meet the cut-off points will find it difficult to transfer to another school.
Last year (2015),the Ministry of Education issued a new directive.
All secondary schools are now not allowed to take in transfer pupils whose PSLE scores did not meet their cut-off points during the school transfer season\"

      source of reference :-
      http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/education/slight-dip-in-cut-off-points-for-popular-secondary-schools-despite-record-psle

During last month open house, some IP pupils said their COPs were 253. Cut off COP was 254. We wondered if they are any special cases for these 1 point less students to be able to gain admission.

I remember the principal saying there is a possibility to transfer from O level to IP midstream. Any one know the criteria for this transfer? Keen to transfer to IP

                  floppy,

If say cedar has some students transferred out and there are some leftover vacancies. Will there still take in some whose COPs are near to their cut off score? E.g.-- if the cut off is 254, and the child scores 253.8 in decimal place but shown as 253 on paper.

                  Any idea on this issue?

Whether they round up or round down, no one knows for sure. However, the number shown on the result slip and once COP is known, those are absolute - 253 is 253. 254 is 254. 253 cannot be 254, no matter how much we wish it to be. Even if there are a number of withdrawals or transfers, there are probably a number of suitable candidates (i.e. meet COP) waiting in the queue.

Hi folks, Any idea how much is the school bus from Hougang ? My DD is posted here as her second choice and now she is contemplating should we appeal for SNGS. for me, both schools are as good and Cedar is nearer to our place. Any advise to share ? Thanks.
