Hi ngl2010..
Hi iFireflyiFirefly:
Hi ngl2010..
How was boarding for your DS ? Did your boy sign up for PSL ? Was he involved in Y1 registration this morning ?
He loves boarding so much
Yes, he signed up for PSL and he was involved in Y1 registration this morning. He has been busy this month. Yesterday he helped in packing, today is registration and next will be Camp Ops
Your DS was also a PSL, right? Is the weekly (is it weekly?) interaction time consuming?
Glad to hear that your DS enjoyed his boarding experience. My DS did too.
Yes, DS was a PSL when he was in Y4. In my opinon, it wasn't time-consuming coz it was a weekly session with the Y1s (every Friday) and for 1 term only. I believe if DS wasn't involved in PSL activities then, he would have been involved in other activities (except studying) in school. Haha..
I recall at the end of Term-1, the Y1s had an Appreciation Party for the PSLs. The gifts DS received were so creative & cute, especially those Thank-You cards made by the Y1 boys and the notes they wrote on them. -

Thanks for the info iFirefly.
Agree with Sursum that the registration was very well organized. Registration queues were short, and book buying was well organized (still got aircon room to check the books). Kudos to the school and the boys! -

I'm so glad that the weekly interaction is not too time consuming. Now I only have to watch out for his social media interaction. He is the chatty type

I love the Thank You/farewell cards culture in RI. DS received some from his seniors and they are so funny. Can get a glimpse on how the boys interact with each other. -

Looking forward to see another θζε @ RI thread soon.. -
Is it important to go for Y1 orientation camp closing ceremony n Investiture ceremony? Why is it held one day after the camp ends?

From DS1: Else the boys will be stinky & sweaty when receiving their badges from principal/teacher during investiture.

Should go! Like iFirefly said before, it will be most memorable for you and your ds. -
Hi,
My son will be boarding next year term 1, I would like to check if he should bring all his stuff for boarding when he goes back to school next Tuesday or I could just pass it to him when he reports for boarding at 12:30pm?
