Poon:
Is it important to go for Y1 orientation camp closing ceremony n Investiture ceremony? Why is it held one day after the camp ends?

From DS1: Else the boys will be stinky & sweaty when receiving their badges from principal/teacher during investiture. šŸ˜‚

            Hi,

My son will be boarding next year term 1, I would like to check if he should bring all his stuff for boarding when he goes back to school next Tuesday or I could just pass it to him when he reports for boarding at 12:30pm?

When he reports to boarding on Monday 12.30pm, he is expected to start staying in boarding from that day onwards. He will have that day's dinner at boarding and sleep that night in the boarding. So, he needs all his stuff for boarding when he reports on Monday 12.30pm.

                Thanks for the info iFirefly.

Agree with Sursum that the registration was very well organized. Registration queues were short, and book buying was well organized (still got aircon room to check the books). Kudos to the school and the boys!

                Hi hquek.. :imanisland:

So happy to see you here. Congrats to your DS and Welcome to RI !

Hope you'll enjoy the Y1 Investiture ceremony, as much as i did. May your boy have an enriching & enjoyable learning journey in RI !

Looking forward to see another č€ęœ‹å‹ @ RI thread soon..

Which č€ęœ‹å‹ are you waiting for? šŸ˜‰
For boarding, I remember DS brought these after the first week. I guess he realized they need them in their toilet.

                  - Bath mat
                  - Air freshener
                  - Handwash soap

                  Hi ngl2010..

How was boarding for your DS ? Did your boy sign up for PSL ? Was he involved in Y1 registration this morning ? šŸ˜„

                  Hi iFirefly

He loves boarding so much

Yes, he signed up for PSL and he was involved in Y1 registration this morning. He has been busy this month. Yesterday he helped in packing, today is registration and next will be Camp Ops šŸ˜‚

Your DS was also a PSL, right? Is the weekly (is it weekly?) interaction time consuming?
We saw many strapping young lads, pristine-in-white during sch reporting day; your boys must be among them! :boogie:

The first 3 things my labbit told me was - sch got free wifi, can use phone during recess, and recess is 40 min! So can see that things got off to a good start as far as junior is concerned. šŸ˜„
