Hi all,Hi Aug_22In,
Congratulations!
Can go to Acsi parents network group.
Couldn't find any separate thread for Sec 1 express so I am here back again. Hope to get the parents whose child is starting ACSI Sec 1 Express in coming January... I have some general questions though, really appreciate if can get some pointers-
1. Is there any orientation for Sec 1 parents?
2. We will be collecting the uniform and books on 22nd Dec so I assume that DS is expected to be in full school uniform and carry all the books to school on 3rd Jan, please advice
3. Whats the best way of transportation from Bukit Gombak to ACSI (apart from driving), is there any school bus available?
4. Do they need to choose CCA on day 1 itself or will be given a grace period to think before opting for it?
5. If DS has not taken mandarin as second language for primary schooling, is it mandatory to learn mandarin in ACSI (Sorry for the silly question but a colleague of mine insisted that they HAVE to take mandarin, though DS has not opted for mandarin but for last 2 years I have put him through mandarin classes to learn it outside the school curriculum)
Thanks in advance! -
Hi all,
I understand that there is a Humanities Scholarship Programme at ACS(I) which my child is interested in. Can anyone share insights about this?
Thanks. -

So does anyone know what is to be brought on the first day 3 Jan ? It says on the booklet that the first part is class allocation, after which would be lessons according to timetable. That doesn’t mean anything to me since i don’t have any timetable. Do books need to be brought on the first day? It is also unclear whether the tie is supposed to be worn with the badge or not on the first day!

Anyone’s child in 1.11 as well? Does anyone know how to get the login/registration for SNAC and LMS ?

Anyone knows if the rear gate access from AYE bus stop is open in the morning? Appears that it’s easier to drop off there compared to Dover entrance. The jam is crazy there!

Mine is in 1.05... so far there is no info provided for SNAC and LMS, believe we need to wait for a while -

Tie and badge to be worn every single school day!!! -
Mvm:
This is patently untrue as clearly on Fridays, no tie or badge is necessary. Students also would not be penalized for not wearing a tie on the first day. As for the badge, i believe the students start wearing it after the badge ceremony on the 9th.mamluke:

Anyone's son in the IP classes would like to share the class size? I'm quite surprised that his class has at least 34 kids (he's not very sure, but the that's the highest index no he heard). I was under the impression that the size is between 25-30 for IP classes.
I also noticed asterisks next to some subjects in the timetable. Anyone knows what that means? -
National 2016 IB results
Likely going to be another record for acs (i) again.
