      Blue Dolphine:

Hi, we received the year 1 orientation guide this morning. Saw that there is a Galileo Programme in the activity list. Can someone enlighten what is this programme about? It sounds like a science programme to me. Is it only for a specific group of students talented in science or for anyone who is interested in science.

      Thank you!

      Hi Blue Dolphine,

Galileo Programme is an enrichment programme that provides opportunity for exceptionally able Year 1 and 2 students who are passionate about Science, to extend their learning beyond the RP . The application is open to all students who have obtained an A* grade in PSLE Science. Watch out for more details on the Stamford portal. 🙂

Hi, metz2, thanks for always helping to answer my question!

        Hello everyone,

My son will be joining RI. For the orientation camp, do the boys sleep in the auditorium? Is the air-con turned on?
        Welcome to RI!

The boys will be sleeping in the Hall. Sorry, DS doesn't know whether the air-con will be turned-on or not. He said from the few times he slept in the Hall during various camps, sometimes the air-con is turned on and sometimes the air-con is not turned on.

DS had a lot of fun at the orientation camp and especially enjoyed the cheering sessions. He also got to know the classmates and the PSLs. He said the PSLs were a great help and always ready to offer help and advice. Kudos to the PSLs!

My son told me that he needs to bring tie tomorrow. But why they didn’t sell us tie when we r buying the uniforms? So tmr must get the tie from sch bookstore before the ceremony?

They will be given the tie during the camp and taught how to tie it before the ceremony.

No need. Yesterday the boys have been told not to bring tie and badge as the school will give them today.

Thanks for clearing the air. DS told me the same (no need to bring) - for a while, I was wondering what to do.
