I think I am a bit siao. After going through 1 round of PSLE with DD I actually find it good that it is finally DS's turn.

Told DS it is actually all positive. Just work consistently and it will not be that stressful. The plus part is exams ends early. After 1st week of October and he is free. 3 whole months of freedom! After that, he will be embarking on another exciting phase of his life.
Ur DS taking PSLE tis yr too?

Don't think so. Nothing much to show for. No major academic/CCA achievements. So he will just go through the normal process.

                    lee_yl....nope....my DS1 is going PSLE in 2018.

I noticed my boys need to be physically active otherwise they are rather lethargic when comes to study.

So during this break also good for me.......as I can think through what I need to cover or close the gap for the next few weeks.

Wa, I didn't participate in last year's PSLE thread leh. Good to pick up tips here earlier.

But I know what gap we want to close, Chinese.

There was one year my children didn't do too well in school and DH chided me for watching the daily 4.30pm Taiwanese drama. Ask me housewife do what, watch TV? Win liao lor. So pissed off by his ticking off so now I don't switch on TV in the afternoons.

i follow hk drama every night. hubby chided me for distracting kids last year. i was pissed. kids already finished homework and i hung up wet laundry....so it's my personal time already. what's his problem? so when he switched on the tv to watch the local drama, i made noise too by saying he is distracting the kids from taking dinner.

:rotflmao: you are also quite \"fierce\" hor.
Maybe he is jealous you are watching too much Ruco Chan.

Yes, Janet, first day of school started teaching Algebra and Forces for Science, staying back after school for HCL, Sc test etc. Full speed ahead since day 1!

I don't think DD1 has reached the point of burnt out (yet). But the mom here is almost burnt out already. Now keep thinking of going down to Chinatown, to soak in the CNY atmosphere as a form of escape haha.

first day of school already staying back??? most schools will go full speed after CNY.

with the school so ON THE BALL, you would have to take care of yourself. it's 9 months before the real thing. bought new clothes for CNY yet? can soak in some retail therapy.

Ya, teacher informed us thru email on the need to stay back in school for lessons after school on the first day. I thought it may be more appropriate to start such after school lessons in the 2nd week.

I realize that there are less than 8 months to PSLE, with orals in Aug.

Bought CNY clothes already 1 week before school reopened, else no time. I love retail therapy. Just to smell the aircon in shopping malls even if I don't buy anything is therapeutic.
