DD (IP track) got A2 grade for her Higher Chinese. She is relieved as don't have to take her MTL in JC liao.

Can I check what grade got to retake for high Chinese ? Does HMT affect the choices for university? My Dd also in IP . Thanks in advance

You need to score a min of D7 to enter the local unis. MT scores aren't computed in uni admission scores unless they add to your overall UAS. Different JCs have different guidelines for whether you need to retake MT. Some stipulate D7, some C6, others perhaps higher.

As far as subjects or courses are concerned, HMT matters only if your course is MT-related.

                  Hi all,

my niece’s L1R5 score is 7 and after taking away 4 pts, her final score is 3. Do you think if she wants to do science in RJC the chances are ok?

                  Thank you…

                  Aunt Madman

Encourage him to be satisfied with a wider range of courses so even if he doesn't get into his first choice, he won't feel too bad.
