Not a curve. A1 is 75 and above, but for Math (in my son's year) 75 will not get you an exemption for math paper. I think you needed an 80, or 80+ (raw score).

For ELL and History, 75 could get exemption (in his year).
Hi Lexis, how about science? Since Physics is taught for the 1st semester then Chemistry the 2nd semester so EOY exam will they be tested both or Physics first then EOY just Chemistry?

There is a special class for Maths. Those being selected will be taking Math which is difference from the other. Think It should be not easy to be exempted from it.

S1 parents (other than DSA Sports), what CCAs will your DS be trying?

          Heard limited slots per CCA.
Mine is keen on Scouts and String Orchestra. Dunno what is the entry requirements for strings though! 😓

            Already available on HCI website.

            Hello,
My son said he did well for Cross Cty at a trial yesterday and was asked to meet the team next Monday.

May i know when confirmation of cca will be made? Coz i am wondering if next Monday will be another trial or already confirmed.

Also noticed that hci cca website lists regular training timing for various sports, not specific trial dates. Does that mean sports trials are conducted during any of the teams' training sessions next week? :?

Any feedback for X Cty? Many TIA!

                Hi,
Pls ignore post above. Son just got bck and updated me that he was given exemption for his good performance for the 1.6 km run and asked to report to train at 4.30. Open trials for X Cty start at 4 pm on Mon. Guess I jumped the gun. Need to learn to let go and let them handle their own stuff. :imcool:

The exemption is based on the regular paper, hence most math pull out class boys should be able to get the exemption for the EOY exam.

EOY will always test the entire year's work. For sec4 EOY they will test everything from sec 3 and 4.

Looking for IS project team mates who happen to stay in the east. DS need 2 more team members to form the project team. If sec 1 boys happened to be the only one from their own primary to go hci, can let me know.
