EOY will always test the entire year's work. For sec4 EOY they will test everything from sec 3 and 4.
Oh,I see.May I Know what's the avverage msg score? Do they ger worse as they get to upper Sec?
Hi Lexis๏ผhow about science? Since Physics is taught for the 1st semester then Chemistry the 2nd semester so EOY exam will they be tested both or Physics first then EOY just Chemistry?sim:
Not a curve. A1 is 75 and above, but for Math (in my son's year) 75 will not get you an exemption for math paper. I think you needed an 80, or 80+ (raw score).
For ELL and History, 75 could get exemption (in his year).
There is a special class for Maths. Those being selected will be taking Math which is difference from the other. Think It should be not easy to be exempted from it. -
Do they {MSG} get worse as they get to upper Sec?
While the workload may initially be a slight (or rather huge) jump between levels, I've noticed some classmates who manage to keep a good balance and maintain similar MSGs. Other classmates have slight issues with their term grades (adapting to more difficult topics, competitions, new teachers and classmates etc.), but when it comes to EOY, most students make full use of their time, and plan out how to study each subject carefully, MSG won't be a problem. For me, my MSG decreased from Sec 1 to Sec 2, increased again in Sec 3, and decreased to an acceptable MSG in Sec 4. -

Are you still studying in HCI and which level?
Is it true that there is no more subject exemption for EOY exam in Sec 4 and the 8 classrooms at the Clock Tower are reserved for the top eight Sec 4 classes? -
Vin8:
Hi Vin8, yes I am still studying in HCI, recently graduated from HS section. Both statements provided are true (as of last year at least). I forgot the reason why there's no exemption, but my guess would be that there needs to be a final gauge as to where everyone stands before sending students off to JC. And yes, the 8 classrooms are \"reserved\" for the top 8 classes, based on Sec 3 EOY Class Average MSG if I am not mistaken.
