Last year no supplementary classes and not much homework, still can do some assessment books. Guess have to jump straight to practise on past year papers.
syllabus not completed, how to go straight into past year exam papers? furthermore, some schools set questions so tough that it is demoralizing. schools tend to give a lot of homework...sometimes, parents have to monitor their kids and whether the workload is too heavy. it's only january. at the rate the school pushes, the child will be burnt out before prelims.

            Janet,
I feel so insecure without seeing them do assessment books on a regular basis. Just do school homework, will it be enough?

                Hi,

I am a current Chinese language School teacher( female) with 14 years teaching experience. I am the Level Head for Chinese Language since 2010. I have taught in both SAP and non SAP schools. I am on Flexi teaching scheme this year and is keen to coach P6 students who are taking PSLE. I have the necessary resources to coach the children to tackle the New Oral exam this year. Additional material( worksheets/ notes) will be provided during every lesson. As my tuition slots are almost filled up, I am only able to teach 1 more group of 2 kids on Sat afternoon, preferably at a convenient venue. WhatsApp me @ 96890221 if you are keen.
                Rate:
$50 /hr/ student (group tuition at students’ home)
$45 /hr/ student ( group tuition at tutor’ home)
                Rate : $65/hr ( 1-1 tuition)
                Time: 2-4pm

                Thank you.

Tried planning but never able do any. :scratchhead: DD is still dream dream dream.. all i have to do is to dream...

                    Try some brainwashing?

I keep telling kids 'DSA exam' (SA1) is in May, not Sep hor
So they worked with May in mind, not Sep. Like that won't slack lor

But it's true too, as far as I'm concerned, SA1 in May is more important than prelim or PSLE :siam:

It's enough. My kids only do school work. Any small pocket of free time, they would do revision - revising prior topics and worksheets done in school. I feel that revision is more important than doing more questions.

I bought assessment books as well. Those served as references and extra resources so that they can refer to, on an ad hoc basis. Most schools would also pump the students with tonnes of mock papers and past year papers. More than sufficient practice.

i know right...even if they do 3 or 4 questions from the assessment book, i know what level of understanding my child is at. but doing school hw is for the sake of doing so. i don't bother to check because the teacher has to mark and also know whether the child understands. no point handing in a perfect piece of hw and teacher assumes she knows.
