Hi, I sent u a pm. Not sure if u rec. -
Hi can any parents here kindly share more abt their sonβs experience in AEP? Is it manageable on top of a sports cca and the other subjects?
Thank u! -
Oh My Gosh:
It is very normal for them to have lots of whatsapp messages in the beginning cos most of them possess a mobile phone for the first time. Last year, DS could have 1000 messages per day, mostly are spams.. Even the grp with FT got so many spams until the FT warned them abt spamming. In the end, DS had more informal chat grps which they excluded the FT. When they are more used to using phones, they will get bored with whatsapp and have lesser messages. BUT the problem will be the addiction to mobile phone games and sort. PSG will organise talks abt controlling the kids usage with mobile devices, very helpful, try to attend if u canThe boys are allowed to use their mobile during lesson time?
DS did tell me they are allowed to use mobile in school (unlike primary school where they can only ON their mobile when outside school compound? I didn't ask much cos so far, his usage still under control. But I do realise his mobile keeps beeping when he is at home - he told me his class whatsapp can send more than 1000 messages a day.
This morning, colleague's DS sent her a whatsapp message around 11am. That must be lesson time right? Hmm... I must admit I am a bit concerned over this new found \"independence\".

Hi,
May I know if the boys needs to stay back 3 days per week for all CCAs or just Sports CCA s?TIA.

Think the boys have the info on the days required for the CCAs. Sports CCAs will have more intensed training at times. For DS, he's in CO, 1 day weekly in sec 1, 2 days in sec 2 and 3 days during sch holidays practices.Hi,

In CO, the boys are \"encouraged\" to own their instruments, so DS brings the equipment home and sch whenever he has CCA. I understand that Band members won't need to buy their own instrument, so u may want to take into consideration

don't think he will practise at home. -

Different CCAs have different requirements, and most CCAs also schedule extra training days during competition seasons. Might be best to check with the seniors during CCA trials, as they can provide more accurate details.Hi,
