Anyone knows the highest PSLE results of Holy Innocent, Mee Toh, Rivervale and North Vista primary schools?

My gal was born in 2013, I'm just considering Primary School selection for her.
Any input is appreciated, thanks a lot. šŸ™‚
The highest score is achieved by one bright individual, so it is meaningless to look at the highest score.
The more meaningful stat would probably be % of students getting 250 or above.
That would indicate how well the school did overall, rather than how well one single student did.

In any case, your child is entering P1 in 2020. It is still 3 years away and
much could change with the schools in 3 years.

Plus, the child will be using the new grading system. Comparison with the old system may be meaningless.

your girl will come under the new PSLE AL system.
Born in 2013, she will be sitting for PSLE, in year 2025

Hence, No point looking at the highest PSLE T-score in the above 4 schools anymore : because No longer applicable, for your kid's turn.
Instead, under the new PSLE AL system (from 2021 onwards), you should be asking : -

amongst these 4 primary schools which you're interested in -
which is the school that produce the HIGHEST number of P6 students , with score of AL (Achievement Level) 8 points & below, at PSLE ?

Many parents have shared useful advice and their comments. These parents are the frequent contributors whom have shared generously their time and personal experiences. I am one of those silent readers and learnt plenty from this channel. Many thanks.

Pardon me if I said something different. For starting your research now:
There are many contributions, blogs etc have listed the schools and their past years PSLE highest scores which you can find easily when u googled. Like what one parent shared, highes score is only one indicator, there are many aspects to look at such as distance, convenience in terms of logistics, culture of schools and etc. I like to observe the students too. I would talk to parents of existing students of the schools to understand the competitiveness of the school and whether you and your child can match the expectation. I did under-estimated the expectation of child's entry level for MT-Chinese. And bear in mind every teachers are individuals and each has their own style in handling the kids.

As for the new AL scores, no parents now or even educators now can tell you much, not to mention any numeral indicators. If you are researching on these schools now, you can go into their respective forum topics and hopefully you can find something useful. But do bear in mind that some schools are more open than others and not all parents use this forum to discuss issues or pose questions.

Even for kids born in 2009 and 2010, there should not be much changes in the general performance of school, unless there is a change in the implementation of the curriculum (different teaching methods), change in curriculum, or change in education policy (removal of psle or school exams/tests - don't think that will happen) etc. The new AL scoring for reporting of PSLE scores should not change much of the performance of the student populations in general,. Up till now, based on the published info, I would think that the new AL scoring will have some impact on how students/parents make their choices of their secondary schools (other more experience parents pls correct me if I am wrong). Unless... (parents kiasuness change too as a results). But I see there are schools that try not to involve the parents too much now which may be a good thing to slowly prevent hmm... over-kiasuness.

Most importantly, your research should not be the reason you start loading your child with too many prep classes. I believe in every child has his/her own readiness age and pace of learning. A child who starts the subject in P1 does not mean his results remain lower all the time (PSLE/higher), vice versa another child who starts the subject much earlier may not do better in PSLE than the first child. More important is the child has the support and time of the parents.
Hope you find the right school 😃

Dear bigDevil, floppy, phtthp and 6thisnthat9, a bunch of thanks for your replies. šŸ™‚

I just posted the question about PSLE result here since this forum is all about PSLE, it's true that this forum is so much active than other forums. šŸ™‚

As MOE doesn't publish much info about PSLE result, I was thinking the highest score is the most easy to get, many of the parents ever heard the highest score but they may not know the average score, etc.

I will take your advices and do more research in near future since I still have time before P1 registration for my kid.

I heard of the new AL grading system, unfortunately nobody has any experience on it as no students have gone through it yet.
