See see look look only. Clementi rental demand stable. Maybe can rent to academics or rich foreign students studying at NUSH/ACS(I)/NUS etc. But TOP 2020... too long. ABSD likely to be absorbed by developer for new sales??
Still looking around for my dream home to upgrade to. My current place is getting cramped... but very difficult to move out of my current area as DH walks to office while the kids walk to enrichment classes a few times a week! :faint: -
my kitchen is getting cramped. I want a bigger kitchen and dd1 (we all too actually) wants our current place. I told dd1 say maybe we extend our kitchen to outside.

If I were to buy a 2 bedder now, that would put my upgrading plan on hold. I yearn for a bigger space, getting cramped now. -

If dd1 gets in too, or sticks to the current alma mater, these 2 locations will be ideal as well. Clementi already has many condos currently leased out to overseas undergrads and postgrads, uni staff and lecturers from SP, NP, NUS. There're NUS Staff Apartments at Kent Ridge already, fyi. NHPS, like the forummer said, is always fully taken up by alumni and staff by end of Phase 2A. -
But Balestier has a lot of vice rings…I saw quite a few units many years ago. Didn’t like the location as there are many freehold shophouses leased out to nightclubs, hardware/sanitary ware stores, lighting shops, illegal massage joints in Freehold Apartments, famous restaurants that cater to busloads of tourists, 2 temples with annual festivities and BUDGET HOTELS for ONS! You won’t see them torn down any time in the near future. It’s too vibrant at night for young girls coming home alone.
Balestier was known to be the whorehouse district in the 60s with Hoover theatre as the main meeting place. If you take a few days to observe the traffic there during the peak hours, you’ll find motorists need to queue up to get out of the small lanes every day to hit the main Balestier Road. It’s a long stretch meaning you can only make a U-turn further down at Zhongshan Park at one end or Palm Beach hawker centre or TMC at the other (I think)…to get to the opposite side / direction. -

I never like Balestier because of the budget hotels... :skeptical:
