          Dear Sir/Madam,

          Do check out our online portal with a mix of tutors of all subjects and levels located all over Singapore.

          At direcTuition ;
          We seek to bridge the gap between tutors and parents/students, offering a platform which allows parents to search for tutors as well as to upload their tuition assignments. Upon finding the tutor of your choice which suits your child the best, contact him/her directly for an interview.

          Thanks for reading!

            Hi,

            My kids are attending Shine language. It is a home based tuition. So far, I find that it has given them good foundation to start P1. My eldest DD has been doing pretty well for her English. This is also partly due to her passion in English language which I believe the centre does play a part. My kids had been enjoying the lessons as the teachers are very passionate and nice.
            My DD ex-classmate parent came to me once to ask me where my DD go for English tuition. Her ex-classmate was from TLL and the mum does not find it effective.
            But I believe Shine compared to TLL will not be as challenging for some kids. So you will need to access your kids' abilities. My DD is still continuing with Shine as she just love the teacher and the lesson. She don't want to stop even though I find that she can take more challenging work.
            My P2 DS is also in Shine. Though he does not read as much as DD, he is able to write a decent compo in P1 giving him full marks in exams last year. Not bad for him considering that he don't read as much.

                Any centre to recommend that focus on comprehension, composition and oral?

                    Although we are a homestay catered to international students, we have on board with us a private tutor who is conducting his tuition classes at our place fully equipped and renovated just like a tuition center in the living room. He majors in English and is, quoted from him \"willing to put my life on the line that my student's English will improve\" for primary and secondary school students.

                    It's a pity he's not a very recognized as he doesn't know how to market himself but we strongly believe in his capabilities as we have seen improvements from his students. You can enquire more with us at our website http://heraldhomestay.com.

                      I recommend Ms Agnes of Writers @ Work. Not sure where she is teaching now but there are 2 centers, one at Clementi Ave 2 & the other at Kings Arcade (Bt Timah).

                        Most of my DD’s classmates go to learning lab for English.

                        Worth a try.
