I have an HDB flat within 1km of Rosyth school, and currently I’m staying at Sengkang area. I’m interested to register for PV in 2018 as my gal will be due for registration in 2019 for 2020 P1 intake.

Any advice how Rosyth does shortlisting if PV registration is too much overwhelmed? I have no problem to move back to 1km of the school, but my question is on when should I move back. Is my chance of getting PV lower if I stay out of 2km during PV registration?

If I’m lucky and got PV registration successful, when should I move back? Is there requirement of minimum stay at the address BEFORE for P2b registration?

Thanks a lot and any advice or comment is appreciated.

Not sure whether your address affects the chance to become PV. It might.

Regarding your last question, I don't think there's minimum stay before P2B registration, but you have to give yourself enough time to settle the logistics, especially the address in your NRIC.

            Need some advice.

My girl is 5 years old , and will need to register for P1 next year for enrolment in 2019.

Our new property is only expected to TOP in Q4 2018 or Q1 2019. Would it impact the eligibility of registration for the school which is within 1KM of our new property?

I read that there is a minimum occupancy period (30 months).

If its true, I may have to start looking for a place to rent near the area now. 😓

Your query is covered under MOE FAQ. Take a look.

                Hi,

When registering for P1 under Phase 2C, does the school look at both parents’ address in NRIC or just one of the parent to determine the distance?

Reason being, my address registered in NRIC is within 1 km but my wife’s registered address is still with her mother’s home address which is more than 2km.

If they differ, the husband's address first.

If your wife is staying with you, you should be aware that she is running afoul of the http://statutes.agc.gov.sg/aol/search/display/view.w3p;page=0;query=DocId%3A%22c1340a15-b22e-46b6-b550-e33ae773981e%22%20Status%3Ainforce%20Depth%3A0;rec=0. Read Sections 8(1) and 13(1)(b).

                        Better get it changed asap.
