      Hi

My son is currently 16 months old and is in Shichida since he is 9 months old.So far he enjoyed himself in class and i do follow Shichida methods and flash to him 5 times a week.I am always very curious about Glenn doman method and im thinking to try their method.I will have to purchase a new sets from them which include a english, chinese and maths sets from them before they will conduct a lesson to teach me how to follow the timetable to teach my child.Glenn doman seems to focus more on words cards whereas Shichida more on picture cards. Can mummies advise me GD methods requires flashing the word cards in high speed as well? If i will to follow GD method,i will have to drop out Shichida method? I am really confused.I hope mummies can advise me the difference.

        Hi Little bb,

GD and Shichida are both very good.
If your child is already comfortable with Shichida, I would stick with it.

GD don't flash cards fast and they seem to incorporate more physical exercises
        in their classes.

Even thought I find GD good, I find they have still a limited resources of flash card materials.

Hi, am newbie here. Read from somewhere b4 tht flashing a "real" card is better than the electronic method. So cll85, how does your children get along with the online’s? Are they as effective as the conventional one?

I used to have doubt about flash the cards on gadget, but after given it a try my kids seem to be very excited. I notice there are things I can’t achieve when I flash manually to my kids especially the speed. It is recommended to flash minimum 1 sec per card and less. So yes is thumb up for gadget flashing and the convenience of it. Shichida and Glenn Doman are pioneer schools in Right Brain Education, for me I just learn both the variation techniques and apply to my kids as different technique will activate the right brain.

                Hi Wil,

I have been doing my research online on Glenn doman and Shichida, they have a lot in common. Both says -

                - Start as early as possible.
                - Parents are the child's 1st and best teacher.
                - Teach only when you and your baby feel happy and excited.
                - Respect you child and believe in him.
                - Stop before your child want to stop his lessons.
                - Never test a child.

Honestly I see a lot of similarity in Glenn Doman and Shichida Method.
Here is an article to show that both are similar

                https://www.rightbraineducationlibrary.com/single-post/2017/01/17/Shichida-Fashcards---How-To-Flash-Cards-the-Right-Way

I send my child for Shichida classes because Shichida seem to be more active and there schools available.

                  Hello Mimosis,

I think your \"real\" flashcards should mean realistic pictures and NOT cartoon pics.
                  Flashcards should be realistic pictures.
If you would flash a card, would you flash a real rabbit or a cartoon rabbit looking like Bugs Bunny?

To me it does not make any difference if it is hardcopy or online flash cards.
One is used by a mother flashing the cards on her own and the other is online. What is the difference??
                  I cannot tell the difference.
Most important is that your child is learning, enjoying and having fun learning. That's the bottom line.

That really true. My kids have benefited from online and they are expose to more topics and they learn quicker too. I do see good result from my kids. Some time when I don’t have the time, to take my kids to their Shichida classes, mum helps me out. She told me the new moms are so bother with what they expose to their kids when in her time, kids are expose to television and we do catch new languages and learn from the television too. Our eyes are good. Is all in the diet.
