Hi vivien_cityhub,

I consider my kid to enrol CMA @ queenstown (or pandan valley).
How is queenstown branch? I don’t push stress so much… May I have some feedback & referreal code? -

Is there any enrollment assessment /test done at CMA before accepting a kid into the programme?

Yes there is. Especially so for younger kids.
Its more to make sure they can read and write numbers 1-10. -

I see. Thanks for the reply. Helping a friend to ask as her 6 year old son has just been 'rejected' by CMA on basis that he still cannot focus and does not have good number sense yet to benefit from the course, so she was a bit shocked as last time we thought only TLL has enrollment test. I am not sure of the details of the test or which branch though.FantasyLandDreams:

For younger kids, there is an assessment by the branch manager indeed. My dc went to CMA in N2 (but he was really only 3+yo as he is a yr-end bae) and was assessed by the head coach to be ready. The test was really very easy, as they merely wanted to see if kid understood simple instructions (Eng or Chinese doesn't matter) and basic number bonds. School requires young kid to know 1 bead represents what value, up and down = add/sub, functions of upper vs lower rows, columns = what place value. I saw the test paper, but wasn't allowed to take it home.
I guess the younger the boy is, the less likely he will show he has attention deficit or not. 3-5yo still blur blur and guai guai...just attend classes if mom/pa says so. But by 6-7yo, most active boys will begin to \"chut pattern\" like fidget endlessly or yak excessively in class. -
anyone have referral discount code to share?
