Any idea if theres a 2017 - P1 parent's whatsapp group being setup?
I believe that's class dependant, rather than a general P1 WA group. Heard of one class that had WA set up since Orientation day, can't recall which class though. None for my kid's class though.

Hi! DS going P1 next year, thinking of registering her into MCS. Looking at the statistics for the past years, I guess more than 2km still have chance? Our address is in Woodlands but we will be staying in AMK my parents house so that the distance to travel will not be too far for DS.
Any idea is there any open house for MCS? -

Hi, I am planning to register my DD into MCS too next yr. im staying in Sembawang.
have check with the sch, chances seem high. Would love to visit the school if there's an open house. Hope to receive some updates from other parents.
cheers! :rahrah: -
I just went to check out on the school environment
Thereโs no open house
May I know what do you like about this school? -
Hi Jadelee6688
No open house? thats quite sad. but how was the environment? U like it? Mind to share?
For us considering MCS was because we are looking for girl sch. and since we are staying beyond 2km from any of them, it doesn't give us much choices. I have contacted MCS & was told that we can reg during phase 2b since i was baptised in catholic church. undeniable, the distance from home to school is still quite a concern to us. since we still have some times to decide, i don't wish to make a wrong choice (not abt the sch but the distance...) :scratchhead: -
Frankly speaking I feel the gals are quite well behaved
I am not sure about the academic too -

No ballotting at Phase 2C for girls schoo, so no choice but to go for it lor. With the school newly renovated, facilities and space wise are definetly better than 2 years ago. In terms of academic, P1 and P2 managable. P3 onwards if girls are in top 2 classes, the teachers assigned to these classes are academic driven and will push the sudents, more homework and extra worksheets. If in mixed abilities, very much depend on luck, whether teachers assigned are willing to go extra miles to help weaker students!!I just went to check out on the school environment

Oh no open house? Don't know can arrange for visit or not.
Actually for my girl, the nearest for us is CHIJ St Nic or Anderson Primary. Hubby and I would prefer her to go for a girls school. CHIJ sure no chance, frankly speaking we don't quite like the idea of schools concentrating only on academic and focusing more on the better students but seems like most of the schools are the same?
Read the past posts from here, MCS seems not bad
