      Yeeeee?

I thot we SAHM dun have any official office hours cos we are 24x7 ???
Not possible to be so alert to nag them 24x7 marathon le, too exhausting. I need some break too. Evenings & weekends are my mentally winding down hours when dh is home. He is welcome to take over the nagging if 看不顺眼 😉

I don't nag my dh. I aspire to be his 'mistress' & not 黄脸婆. And we all know 'mistress' does not nag

I nag my kids though. Look at their room, faint! Look at their desk, faint! Look inside their school bag, faint! But I tried to complete my nagging during office hours so dh won't get an earful
same, I don't nag at hubby but the boys. I've stopped looking into their bags long time ago, to keep my sanity. However, I can't help it but I need to clean their rooms which is the worst part. The desk, chair, bed, floor and everywhere is always messy. Just last night, I \"reminded\" them again to clear the pile of old newspapers in their rooms. I now need to give them deadline to clear certain things before they're gone!

Recently I noticed my role is reversed. Now my 9 yo dd2 likes to nag me.

Last week she noticed maggi mee wrapper in the kitchen when she returned from school. I forgot to destroy evidence. So she started 碎碎念 'aiya cannot eat maggi noodle so unhealthy', 'really unhealthy', 'very unhealthy' .... for a good 10 minutes

dd2 & I had breakfast at home this morning. While I 'm fishing out a slice of bread from the half eaten loaf, she said, 'mummy, have you check the expiry date?' I didn't. okay, not expired yet. And before before she left for school, she asked me whether my cough is phlemy. I said no. Then she said, 'mummy, just don't drink yakult today, yakult will cause phlem.'

          Yes 'ma' :rotflmao:

With the kids, I nag because they always dilly dally. But with hubby, I have to speak nicely or else I will become a naggy and irritating wife.

What do you define as nagging?

Eg, ah boy ah, spelling learned oredi? Remember to learn ah. Aiyoh why must I always remind you. Can you not be more automatic? Next time I won't remind you, let you go and fail. Your Chinese zuowen corrections done oredi? Do oredi then keep in your bag lah, why leave it lying around? Why must I always tell you? This kind of things standard one right. Else tomorrow forget to bring to school. Finish your work then go pack your bag, why always must wait until last minute?

                    or

Why can't you just wash the cup that you used? Everytime use already leave it in the sink? Simple thing like that, also cannot just do. Then all the cups used already can tell me no more cups. Of course no more cups lah, all lying in the sink unwashed. So difficult to just wash after each use? blah blah blah....

I hear my sis doing that to her kids. When she goes into the mode, oh boy I :siam: because one thing can lead to another thing and suddenly she can just turn to me and go \"and you! blah blah blah...\" when I have nothing to do with whatever she was nagging her kids about.

I don't think I nag. I will remind kids about certain things and if they have not done it I will just tell them to get it done there and then. If I find things lying around, I usually just go to kids and tell them 'You! Come here! Do that!' when it is done, I even tell them thank you. 😆

I don't have the energy to go on and on about things.

I nag from 3-5 pm. I consider it my maternal duty to nag until they do what they have to do. As I nag I will blame them for making me nag. After 5pm I get a free pass until 9pm when I will nag again until they are in bed, lol.

Why no need to nag from 5 to 9pm ah? Because you are busy cooking?

I try not to nag nowadays and let her suffer the consequences if homework not done etc. But sometimes still cannot help it. 🤷
