after PSLE and if you don't have a younger child taking SA2, you can definitely go for a holiday. that is off peak period when air tickets are cheaper.Hi parents,
Can someone share when is the good time to travel after PSLE? I kept hearing there's a window period - when is it? Anyone knows? -
Persimmon:
My kid was very lucky that their teacher \"chiong\" until the last day before PSLE. In the end, the class turned out amazing result for that subject. I thought that was a good learning for this thing call \"perseverance\". So I think if the kid doesn't know what he doesn't know at this point in time, which is March only, as parents we should still try to help... Don't give up, don't let it be. I think our help will make a difference. Don't wait until PSLE is over then start to think mummy could have help you a bit more.
Persimmon,
Agree. Some parents only start realizing a lot of gaps in our kids''prep for PSLE. We must give up on them & in that way they learn not to give up & perseverance fr our modeling. (Hopefully)
Yet, not easy as parents coz every child is different. Some can't take the pressure. Find out fr them what/why their dislike & patiently & lovingly work with them. Give them your love & support and tell them to try & make extra effort. Only ano 6 months to go! -
Hi parents,
As I still have a younger child taking SA2 after PSLE, may i confirm again, the window period to travel between 29/30 Nov to 17 Dec'17, is it ok? As normally the PSLE result out by 23-24 Nov & we can submit the sec sch selection on 27 Nov onwards?
TIA!janet88:

For wrong spelling of key words, will any mark (half mark or 1m) deducted, according to new PSLE sc marking scheme?

How does it affect you? -
All seems to be very much involved in your DS n DD studies…getting them to do more papers and do revision with them…
How you all do it?

DD1 is loaded with plenty of school homework (daily) and practice papers (for the weekends). Plus with sup classes, I find it difficult to squeeze out time for additional revision. In comparison, we had so much more free time last year.
School told us we could leave PSLE preparations to them but I still feel uneasy that she's not doing extra stuff assigned by me. So we usually try to squeeze time on Sat & Sun to revise Sc and Chinese.
Perhaps there won't be enough time to do all, then just have to pick on the areas you want your child to improve on and work on it.
