For wrong spelling of key words, will any mark (half mark or 1m) deducted, according to new PSLE sc marking scheme?

All seems to be very much involved in your DS n DD studies…getting them to do more papers and do revision with them…

          How you all do it?
I just told my DD tat I will come back earlier on certain days but think only 1 day left where she does not need to stay back…n she already whined and said she needs to do homework etc on tat day…
          Feel so unwanted by her…

                  Haha, I like your nick, '250above' 😄

DD1 is loaded with plenty of school homework (daily) and practice papers (for the weekends). Plus with sup classes, I find it difficult to squeeze out time for additional revision. In comparison, we had so much more free time last year.

School told us we could leave PSLE preparations to them but I still feel uneasy that she's not doing extra stuff assigned by me. So we usually try to squeeze time on Sat & Sun to revise Sc and Chinese.

Perhaps there won't be enough time to do all, then just have to pick on the areas you want your child to improve on and work on it.

                      true, because Reality seeps in.

After a P6 child finish school, say around 1.30 pm or 1.45 pm daily (Mon to Fri) , go home makan lunch, bathe, rest a short while from a hard day's work in school starting so early around 7 am, roughly 3 pm then ready to start study.

P6 : usually a lot of Supplementary lessons, or Cca.

Out of 5 days per week : easily at least 2 days or more, \"eaten\" up by (Cca + Supp lessons for Eng, Maths, Chinese, Science) conducted in school.
Left only probably remaining 3 days per week ? But some eaten by weekday tuition. So left, say either 1 or 2 days per week, for mothers to help revise with kid at home ... very, very little time left to revise. Thus, even though mother's intention to quit job to help child is good (moms are great, because they sacrificed salaried working, to take care of their PSLE child, so as to get into good Secondary schools), but due to Cca, Supp lessons and what-not like external enrichment like ballet twice-a-week training or piano lessons, etc, find it difficult with so little time left, to accomplish so many things awaiting to be done.

heard some parents requested their P6 child to drop Cca, in P6, so as to have more time to prepare & focus for PSLE.
But then, if u intend to DSA using Cca (Sports or Performing Arts / Art, etc) : how to drop Cca ?

That’s why some choose to arrange with their mgmt on flexi hours during the psle year which may be just early release from work from certain days of the week.
