Agree with Esteema regarding finding out what type of school your child will look forward to based on his interest etc. If he still have the IDK look, going to Open House is one way to help to expose him to various possibilities as well as have a feel of ‘ambience’ and culture of the school.

As NUSH is not participating in S1 posting, the only way to enrol is via DSA. You can always decide whether to do DSA after the Open House visit.

I have a dilemma whether to go or not to go. DS loves math but NUSH does not have the CCA that he is currently in.

If he hasn't yet decided, I think going to the Open House will be educational for him. There are other schools with Math-focused programmes that he should also visit to get a better idea of which school he thinks would be the best fit for him holistically. Just because he attends the open house doesn't mean he has to go to the school, or even try for DSA into the school.

There is a NUSH Parent booth by the PSG whereby you can speak to the parents with kids in NUSH to find out more.

Remember to visit the various Interest Groups, you can see lots of interesting demos over there. Go to the CCA booths to take a look too.

Be early, we are expecting a huge crowd.
