I have been having menses since 1 Apr and recently flow getting heavier despite taking tcm medication. Before that after my regular 5-6 day menses it will be followed by spotting which cleared after taking tcm medication.
Due to the heavy menses I am starting to take synthetic progesterone prescribed by GP to curb the flow while waiting to see specialist in NUH in June to check if it is due to perimenopause or other issue (fibriod etc).

Does anyone have similar experience and any gynae to recommend in the west area?

Day 1: Spore to Auckland (day flight)

I would suggest you swop Day 2 and Day 3 so that you can get some buffer time to recover from your long flight. Going to Waiheke Island would require a ferry ride which may not be suitable if you are not rested.

For Day 7 and Day 8, it would involve lots of travelling (and waiting). Looks quite cramp. I am not sure how you are going to Mount Cook from Christchurch which is actually quite far. Spending one day at Mount Cook may not be worth the travel. I would suggest either you spend more time there or not go there at all. It is really subjective to weather conditions. When we were there in December, it could be sunny one day and rainy the next.

In general, I felt your itinary looks very ambitious. Covering both islands in 12 days does not do justice to either places. And the fact that you are not driving would mean ensuring you catch your tours at fixed times. That might be stressful and need good time management for everyone. Really need to reconsider extending your time there or concentrating on one place. And since you are going in winter, you would need to adapt to the cold weather and winter condtions. I would better take more precautions..

Hi Roze,
If you have filled in and submitted the Parent Involvement Programme form (which is also accessible from NUSH website), the PSG Exco will contact you if there is any activity/event. Last year there was a PSG Networking Day in April, not so sure about this year.

Can anyone pls share if jacket is required ? I thot classrooms not airconditoned, so didnt pass one to DS today...but I realised tons of NUSH kids reported to sch with the sweater/jackets. Also should DS start hunting for lockers already ??

Yes, some classsroooms are airconditioned. Jacket etc optional depending how well your kid can tolerate the cold. I suppose due to the rainy weather recently, parents get the kids to bring along their jacket just in case it gets too cold. Lockers will be available for every class, no need to hunt for it. Just get a padlock for the locker.

May I know for NUSH students taking Chinese as MTL, what is the proportion of students taking Higher Chinese vs students taking Chinese (like 20:80, 40:60)?

Amongst the Year 1 students this year, there are 113 students taking Higher Chinese vs 22 students taking Chinese.

The science subjects are already separated as Biology, Chemistry and Physics, taught by different teachers. They are already 3 different subjects.


As for practical, each Science would have 1 practical lesson every month on average.

In year 4, Math is compulsory, then need to choose at least 2 science subjects as major subjects.

The students in Year 1 are already using the o level pure science book used by Sec 3 students in mainstream schools

For those taking normal CL, it would up to Year 5 normally.

Triple Science is compulsory for first 3 years. Lesson for each Science subject is 2hours per week.
