      Hi all!

Im new here and this forum is really informative! Learned alot regarding P1 registration!

My gal is born in 2006, thus registration will be in 2012. If i were to apply for PV, it will be this year.

Have shortlisted a few schools, but on the PV form should i put my own address or my parent's address which im gonna use during formal P1 registration?

My mother is taking care of her during the day.
Welcome to KiasuParents.com, prodigizz. As janet_lee88 noted, if you register using your parent's address for the P1 registration, the distance will automatically be >1km regardless of how close you may be to the school. The address on your PV form is not going to be used as the \"official address\", but it is used by the school when considering your application to determine your suitability as a PV. Some of the schools in high demand will not allow parents staying more than 2km away to join as PVs.

        hi

my own home is far from the schools i’ve chosen.

my parents’ home is within 2km for some schools and more than 2km for 2 of the schools.

so i guess to be on the safe side is to use my parents’ address when applying to be a PV?

if you are not staying with your parents and is using their address as yours for the purpose of registration (ie you are using their address as your own and not going through statutory declaration) and gotten advantage over the others cos of this, do not let anyone know your identity cos people will report you and you will risk the penalty of getting your kid withdrawn from the school because of your false declaration.
          think twice; sleep tight.

like i said in my 1st post, my mother is taking care of my girl. she stays there during the day and some weeknights too.

if i am going to use my parents address, i will go make a statutory declaration.

in that case, do take note that your parents' address will be grouped under 1-2km category if balloting occurs in Phase 2B even if their house is physically within 1 km from the school; as such, do study our past year balloting statistics to gauge if balloting is required for Phase 2B for school of your choice cos it will be a case of severe heartache if there is balloting within 1km for the chosen school after clocking 40hrs, GWIM?
              Good luck 😎

                Thanks for the info!

Most of the schools are within 1-2km, none are within 1km. So doesnt really matters... 🙂

I guess we just want to let you know that MOE is very strict about the address used to register kids for P1. All the best.

hii all,I was wanting to do PV for Rulang but when I went to apply I was told that there are 200 plus parents in front in the queue.

I gave up hope.Recently ,I heard a parent talking to another person that from next year there are 2 chances of balloting per person for Phase 2C… is it true ??

I thought it is effective from this year? :? need to check on this.

anyway, it is just when come to balloting, in the ballot box, each and every citizen will have 2 slip of paper bearing their name while non-citizen will have only 1 slip each.

I remember reading that the 2-chance balloting for Citizens starts this year too.
