NUS High’s student-teacher ratio is 10:1?

At the recent NUS High open house, the volunteers manning the booths shared that because of their low student-teacher ratio, the students get personal attention & help. That’s why NUS High students hardly need tuition.

Today, we pay very low school fees (govt sch) but expensive tuition fees. Imagine a situation where there are higher school fees and zero tuition fees, the savings could be significant.

For the students of the soon-to-be merged JCs, just when they get to enjoy the benefits of a low student-teacher ratio, their JCs will be merged. Upon the merger, the burden will now be shared among the remaining JCs and likely, the student-teacher ratio will go up for every JC

GEP ratio also very good...maybe also 10:1...but i doubt that translates into less tuition.
