May I know the format of the English Domain selection test?

If the notes are distributed by the school teachers, then the school should be notified and leave it to the school to do the investigation. School teachers’ hard work should be for students’ personal reference and not for sale.

DD got 3.6 for her GPA. Is this considered good for Sec 1 results? She only has tuition for Maths.
-
I think 3.6 is an excellent score…
-
When my DD was in Y1, she got 3.77 at the end of the year and received the Edusave merit certificate for the top 25%. At Y2, she got 3.89 and again is ranked between top 10% to top 25%. Do note that the GPA step is 0.057 apart, so best possible GPA is 4.00, followed by 3.94, 3.89 and 3.83 and so on.

Thanks for the information. I just checked. She got 3.83 not 3.6. Do their GPA tends to improve over the years? My girl is stronger in Maths and Science. Hope it helps with her GPA as there are more Maths and Science subjects in Sec 3. I am also concerned because several of her AA were below median...I think I will check with the subject teacher how she can do better. -
Generally, you should see an improvement in GPA in Years 3/4 over Years 1/2. That’s because most students would have chosen a subject combi which should be aligned with their interests and ability. For eg those weak in Arts subjects would have chosen a triple science combi, and those weak in Science subjects would’ve gone for the more humanities based courses. Of course there’s the bugbear of those who are weak in languages which will pull down their GPA regardless of combination.
