Raffles Institution (Year 1-4)

I remember in Yr 2 I could choose 3 teachers to see, and it was in the afternoon up to 630pm.
Oh on the letter, it is stated that there are some changes this year as they want to focus the discussion on the wholistic development of your child instead of simply his academic grades… Also, the child has to be there. -

Yes. For the past 3 years (DS is in Year 4 this year), we can choose 3 teachers to see.I remember in Yr 2 I could choose 3 teachers to see, and it was in the afternoon up to 630pm.

I guess there are pros and cons to the new system. -
ngl2010:
Y6 PTM is this Sat, 9am to 4pm. Parents can choose to see max 4 teachers. I've booked to meet Civics Tutors and GP teacher only.lalaland:
Do you find this year's PTM to be very restrictive? My son is in Yr 3. We can only meet the form teacher and the time is 8am to 1245pm.
I thought the changes only apply to Year 4 i.e. we can only meet form teacher. It looks like it applies to all. Maybe we should give feedback to school?
When is Y1-Y4 PTM ? -
Yr 3 is 26 May
-
Same as Year 4. Friday, 26 May, 8am-12.45pm.

lalaland:
I planned for the middle 2 weeks. For my son, CCA camps for the first week and OBS for the last week. Then he is off to boarding in Term 3.
slmkhoo:
Thanks for the info, lalaland and slmkhoo.I recall last year that it was said at the Yr5 briefing (they said it applied to the whole school) that the middle 2 weeks were the safest for holidays. If activities were planned, they would be in the first or last week of the holidays.

Same timing for Y1 as well. Have to take 1/2 day leave to attend. -

I guess sch gave priority to Y6 parents, and rightly so since it's A level year. Y1 only allowed to book the timing of one of the 2 FT, and it's on a weekday.

When is Y1-Y4 PTM ?
Would we get the report book on the day of PTM? -
iRabbit:
It's been a while since my time at Y14 - don't remember when PTM were there. Academic progress report only after major tests (MYCT, EOY) and usually it's on the last week of school or even later.

Academic progress report usually is available before booking of PTM so we can decide whether to go for PTM or not. However, I am not sure about this year.
