Hiya, anyone staying at Toa Payoh/Kallang area and looking at either Mee Toh or Rulang? Trying to see if either school is an option by looking for other crazy parents to share private school bus with.

Unless you qualified for Phase 1 / 2A / 2B, neither school is an option. -
I have alumni status for both. The distance is the deterrent

Best to ask within the alumni network or parents support group because they are your best bet. -
Hello all,
I have a 6year old daughter, will be going to Primary 1 next year (2018) intake.
I am staying at Fajar Road (just right opposite of Zhenghua Primary). Last year, I actually completed my parent's voluntary group at West Spring Primary school, after reading & hearing good reviews with the school.
However, past few weeks, I also have been hearing good reviews on Zheng Hua Primary school as well, as such currently in a dilemma on what to do next, as the registration is really close.
From what I gathered, West Spring primary school is a very new school, with a \"play as you learn\" method kind of teachings, whereas Zhenghua focused more on academic results.
As for my daughter, she is rather playful and most of the time are focused on play & her iPad. I have since stopped giving iPads to her, and I have also resorted to pushing her to learn some simple mathematics (+ & -) hoping that she can be prepared in her Primary school years.
A little unsure on whether should I be apply Zhenghua or West Spring..any parents having same issues, please help!

Wow! What time do you expect your child to wake up? Poor kid - won't have much sleep time!

In my opinion, distance is crucial. I think it's not good for kids to wake up too early and spend 1 hour traveling to school everyday for 6 years. -

1 hour travelling is no joke...especially when there will be CCA and supplementary lessons as the child progresses to mid primary.lee2011:

Is Mee Toh in the north east? It wouldn't be too far from Toa Payoh if you're staying there? North to North east not so bad...the other option (travel to Rulang in far west) is very siong. -
Hi!
Phase 2C.
Need advice on 2 schools : Between Newtown and Queenstown - what are the chances?
Newtown within 1km. Queenstown 1-2km.
Thanx!
