DSA 2017

Remove t-score wef 2021 (kids born in 2009), replaced by new AL scheme system : currently 2017 P2 students impacted.
Last 4 psle batches, to experience T-score, are :-
Psle 2017 (born 2005),
Psle 2018 (born 2006),
Psle 2019 (born 2007),
Psle 2020 (born 2008).
Under new AL scheme, for academic subjects (Eng, maths, science) :
Whether your AL grade show up a 1 or an 8, for each of the 4 subjects -
The results speak for Itself : indicate clearly whether u or not, u have talent in that specific subject. -

It was announce in parliament this year no more DSA by general academic ability test.Hearsay from whatsapp parents chatgroup that it was announced during an open house last Saturday. Next year no more academic dsa. Not sure how reliable is the source but if true, then it will be back to t score the next few years?
When are they removing t score by the way?

I am aware there’s no more DSA academic (that is look at 4 subjects overall) but there’s a new provision known as ‘special academic talent’, that is, to consider the best academic subject?

Dunman High School. You can try for MEP or String Ensemble. Can anyone share which secondary schools will be ideal for DSA for child playing the violin?

I see.
Impression gathered from chatgroup was there will only be non-academic dsa, no more academic domain. All of us were so surprised.
So it was not true huh? 虚惊一场

Yup no more academic domain. Cos if academic can use PSLE scores is the reasoning behind it.

还有leh[/quote]I think schools now classify them as STEM or Language and Humanities instead of General Ability

If applying via CCA leadership, does it mean must stick to the same CCA if DSA is successful?
You may have to check with the respective schools directly
