Hi all,
Need some advice - this year Bukit merah is down by 1 class vacancy in zhangde and geps each. What does this mean in terms of phase 2C balloting risk for Bukit merah schools or no impact? Im singaporean but don’t have guts to ballot as I don’t think we will be as lucky as last year. I’ve 2 girls and I’m registering my elder one this year. -
Which school(s) are you looking at?

Hi all
Would like to get some opinion of Radin Mas vs Chij kellock. I rread that kellock is more holistic and character building , instead of academic focus. My Daughter can be domineering at times and I am concerned she may be ostracise in a all gals school compared to a co - ed school. Does anyone has any further insight or advice? -
Keen to find out more about CHIJ Kellock as well as it's one of the schools in my list.

Renham, there is an open house for parents at CHIJ Kellock on 12 Jul; according to the school website. Are you staying in Bukit Merah/ Telok Blangah area? -
Yes, I am staying in the area… and have just signed up for the open house on 12 July.

Hi, I’m new here.
Hope I’m not too late. I’m registering my girl for soon in phase 2C. Still deciding between radin mas pri & kellock pri. Both are within 1km for me & we are SC. Husband is more for radin mas coz its co-ed. But i understand that radin mas is has always had ballot for phase 2C within 1km. Tentatively our plan is to try radin mas if kena ballot out then go kellock for 2C supp. But it is confirm kellock will have 2C supp? Also, will there be possiblilty that I don’t get in kellock under 2C supp? This is so stressful.
By the way, can anyone share between the 2 schools - radin mas & kellock, which is ‘better’ & in what way? Or rather their focus? -

radin mas is has always had ballot for phase 2C within 1km - not true. Last year, balloting was done only for those between 1 and 2 km. All those within 1 km were 'safe'.Hi, I'm new here.

will there be possiblilty that I don't get in kellock under 2C supp This largely depends on how many vacancies is left at end of Phase 2C at Kellock and how many applicants there will be at Phase 2C (Supp). Bear in mind that, by Phase 2(C) Supp, most of the more popular schools will be filled up and the competition at this phase could be very high too. But since you are SC within 1 km, then your chances for success are higher.
The plus point for a co-ed school is that, if your second child is a boy, then you will enjoy priority in registration when he is due to enter P1.
Just a suggestion - maybe you can speak with neighbours/friends who have kids in RMPS and Kellock and get a feel of the schools. You could also go for the open house at Kellock on 12 Jul. Hopefully all the research will help you determine which learning environment will be more suited for your daughter.
