But we have since relocated to the north side for the last 7 years.

And like what you said, prices are expensive too over there.

Actually,Woodlands is not a bad place to stay in but nothing beats staying in my hometown in the south.

Just got off from work and enjoyed some ME time by sitting in MCD for breakfast and downing a few cups of coffee before meeting DD2’s discipline mistress and teacher later.

I lived in the Lengkok Bahru,Redhill and Tiong Bahru areas for the first 29 years of my life and found it hard when I moved to Bt Panjang and Woodlands areas too.

Wanted to move back to my hometown but my wife won't hear of it.She claims places like Queenstown and Redhill are quite old.She wants to live in new estates.
Actually she is quite right. I was at blk 59 Lengkok Bahru car park one day. I felt time didn't pass at this small neighbourhood! The GP clinic still kept its gate! These days I dunno where I could find those gates!

But that's just Lengkok Bahru area. The cluster opp Redhill Mrt are ok. Dawson estate near Queenstown Mrt is pretty new.

I grew up in Blk 55 in the late 80s and 90s.The GP was there for 40 plus years. The doctor was 80 plus when I went back to him 10 years ago.Went back early this year for a visit though.

Btw,I was talking about living in new blocks in that area and nor talking about living in old blocks in that area.

common la, Lengkok Bahru where got new blocks!? Almost all blocks are older than you. Unless you are talking about Redhill market there, a few blocks near Shell station but even those are about 15 years old.

I spent some me time at the ntuc…came across the chia seeds and quinoa…I so wanted to buy and try but ended up didn’t buy…immediate check on internet both are ‘superfood’…how do you all find it. good? chia seeds can just sprinkle on salad/others without need of toasting? and quinoa, will have bitter taste as some claims?
