To go via the SHHK route, you should ideally have 4 years tenure as a member at time of application to be safe of a recommendation. As it is, you will be slightly short of being safe. Thus, you should try to sign up with the clan asap.

Which sch are you aiming? I think it differs based on the popularity of that school. AT & TN are harder. Mine is cf, 2 years of membership got the letter

why church can get priority ?

SHHK - Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan.
You or your spouse would be eligible to join if you're both hokkien.

Not all churches get priority and also not priority into all schools. In a nutshell, members of Catholic churches get priority into Catholic schools, Anglicans into Anglican schools, Methodists into Methodists schools.

There's also Singapore Buddhist Federation and i read that they get priority into Buddhist schools.

All of the above qualifies for 2B in addition to Grassroot Leaders as well as PV of the respective schools.

Hi! My child is a 2014 baby and I’m planning to join SHHK to get into Phase 2B at Nan Chiau Pri School. Any parents has got experience in getting nomination letter and got into Nan Chiau Pri? Please do share.

4 years? so means I have to join by this year? but the member fee is quite pricy..if join SHHK also no guarantee can enrol to the school right?
