Yeah…I would call it being diligent. Your attitude will trickle down to your child’s attitude to his/her studies and school matters, no?

Contrast the diligent student pays attention and who takes proper note of when the test/exam is, what topics are covered, what is the date and time and location of the exam. Prepares well within the rules and shows up on time for the exam. Versus the lazy can’t be bothered student who didn’t note important things, then later how to study and ask around where ah? What ah? Nice people maybe will take pity and hold your hand while you cry…but otherwise, silence…

Does anyone have the breakdown for Ai Tong? They have 6 oversubscribers, any idea if there is any chance for the school to absorb these 6?

here is the breakdown, ballot within <1km

Assuming that all 6 are within the balloting distance, there will be a ballot unless there are 6 pairs of twins or 3 sets of triplets among those balloting.

The system is fairly transparent and the school can't unilaterally absorb the extra applicants unless there are special circumstances (such as the ones that I've listed). Hence, even if the number of extra applicant is just one, there will be a ballot conducted.

It's a pity that the 5 parents wasted their 2B chance just like that

Unless there is a pair of twins, ballot within 1km even if there's only 1 extra applicant.

from what i understand, there is a pair of twins in ATS under 1km. if their name were the last to be called (during balloting). would the school take 1 place from 2c?

Yes.[/quote]If there's only 1 pair of twins, there will be no balloting as they will be usually treated as a 'single entry' for balloting purposes. Hence, there will be 30 names but only 29 'lottery tickets' which fit the number of vacancies (29) nicely. The additional place will be taken from the next phase, i.e. Phase 2C in this case.

N.B. The above is up to the P discretion.

unfortunately, there is still balloting in the sch even if there is 29 'lottery tickets'

They could be members of the clan. No other options available besides applying and hope for the best.
