Little sugar, salt, oil in food

When I eat something my body does not accept, my skin starts to itch.

I think this is good bec your body tells you
The worst would be our body accepts happily. These food include junk food, fast food etc

Not always, not for us. We need more oils in our diet and i make an effort to add the oil in. But we are selective about the oils and salt we use.

All things in moderation. There was an aquaintance who cut out salt so zealously from the family diet that her husband ended up hospitalised for low blood pressure.

People who sweat more need more salt. Office workers who are always in aircon room and do not labour need less salt.

My ds2 does not digest animal fats and dairy well. When he was young i have to make up the calorie deficeit with plant oils or he would be underweight. Oils are essential for healthy skin and cell membrane.

Same here. My palms will itch and i get hives.

i started using some olive oil for cooking recently. before this olive oil is reserved for salad. with the non stick pan, frying egg for sandwiches sometimes no oil at all. eating more processed food recently 😓 started a packet of frozen patty, frozen pratha and also chapatti.

I usually use extra light virgin olive oil from NTUC.Good for high heat cooking like stir-fries and grilling.

But I am curious…The label behind the bottle states "Packed In Italy".

Means product is made in Italy?

Anyway, picking up my 2 girls only now because DD1 and DD2 did not do and passed up their Chinese homework for the past 2 days. The teacher wanted to see me about it as well.

hi ff , you are back home.

usually i dont really bother about made in where..guess i trust Spore to bring in safe/safer products 😂 but if say packed in italy i think the product may be from somewhere else ?

ohh your dds..dont worry. sometimes that is quite a common thing for certain kids. hope they will one day outgrown that behaviour..some kids may just need more time on these 😓

no need to worry too much , u not eating this every meal every day & just use your tongue to ensure salt content not high. The type of scary processed food are the eg sausages, lunchen meat (yummy lei..hahha..) bakkwa -yummy too 😢
Strictly speaking a lot of packed noodles/beehoon , milk, cheese, butter , bread , flour , oil are
processed food wor since they are manufactured fr food industries lei  Or be farmers n harvest own food -move back to kumpung malaysia or indo to grow veg, keep poultry for fresh egg n meat, catch your own seafood 😂

my neighbour is Jap and she shared that her mum grows own veges in her hometown outskirt Osaka, how nice . The kids always come back with big round tummy n round cheeks after eating grandma love grown organic veges :please:

It was reported in The Straits Times that we should not gauge the salt content based on how saltish the food taste.

I do not add table salt during cooking. The light soya sauce, oyster sauce used in the marinating already contain sodium. Some other sauces such as the Korean marinating sauce n dark soya sauce also has sodium. Really no reason to add any more table salt.

Talking about olive oil, MIL is under the impression that it is a very healthy oil. She uses it carelessly in stir fry veg. My boys complain about the veg being too oily but she tells them it is healthy oil 🤷 Well, the boys only go to her house to eat lunch on weekends, I guess won't be too much damage done.
