i just googled for LDL...can get info on which are the good food and the ones to avoid. I need to use butter substitute to avoid the trans fat..for a moment thought can give myself more freedom on food to eat..looks like still better to control..wont be excessive but think good to keep reminding ourselves.

I already looked, but I'm already eating most of the things recommended!

handling sibling rivalry is challenging. when i was expecting #2, my son was just 4. he was very young and didn't feel any sense of rivalry because he is very close to my parents. during that 1 month confinement, it happened to be his year end holiday (november). we hired a maid then and parents brought him out almost everyday. so he enjoyed the extra attention showered on him. as he grew older, it was necessary to remind him he is now gor gor but he is still very much loved. daughter is a handful, so i had to be strict with her as she tends to bully her sibling. she is close to gor gor because i am strict and won't put up with her nonsense.

one teacher ever raised a concern of dd1 when suggesting meimei take an exam.. i told her that is ok actually. whenever can, i will tell dd1 that we should feel proud of each other..not getting envy, jealous etc. so far, dd1 is quite accepting on this, dd1 will acknowledge that dd2 is not bad (is better than her..shh..coz my dd1 always start things much later than the rest in general šŸ˜‰ ..it is the sharing of mommy part is a bit tricky.

for me, the tricky part is having a daughter who is a handful. she tends to bully her older sibling and daddy. well, daddy allows her to bully him...so that's his problem 🤷 i am closer to my son because he is older and we communicate a lot since he was young.

probably gene or own body functions play a part too.. i went to look at our latest report done less than half year ago. dh ldl/total cholesterol also not good. mine within range and i eat fats since very young.touchwood.

from the quick reading last night..reducing weight may help too. your bmi ok?

dd1 is bigger in size than dd1 naturally and abit 'chorlor' when they play 'hitting' each other. when I hear one of them complaining coz too much force used..usually dd1 la. we will scold/teach her..yup we used the word bully also when reprimanding..whether real bully or not, i cannot stand bullying..so they know me.

son is also chor lor when playing with her. but daughter is no better. behind my back, she will be up to some monkey business. when son makes noise, i know she has to be the culprit. i have always been stricter with the younger one. for my boy, i cut him some slack but when he watches too much youtube and sleeps late, i will step in.

I read that fibre moves the LDL out of our body, how much green leafy veg do you consume at each meal?

Does high LDL run in your family?

I have yet to schedule my health checkup this year :xedfingers:

The 2 little girls kicked Mommy when Daddy said hello to them.

Everyone was glad to see me home.I told my wife about DD1 and DD2's misdeeds regarding their homework and she told me it was hard enough carrying 2 more girls.Told me to check their work instead.I cooked a sumptuous seafood dinner for the family to welcome myself back.MIL and her sis helped out while my wife rested because she was too tired.

DD2 gave Mommy's stomach unhappy face looks and pouted when I spoke to her 2 younger sisters though.
                      Congrats FishFingers!

You wife must be quite far along already for you to know the gender and feel the kicks. So when will you be welcoming your princesses?
I think genes have a lot to do with overall health outcomes too. I just got some medical results back, and my LDL is now \"borderline high\"! Considering that my diet is healthier than average even though I don't try extremely hard, it's hard to know what to adjust.

                        Exercise missing :siam: :siam:

Yes, yes, I know! But I'm not entirely unexercised - I do use my stationary bike a couple of times a week, and I take public transport and walk quite a bit.
Yes, genes play a part.

Unfortunately, for some of us, we have to work harder for the same results that others get.
