Firstly, they will be put in groups of 4 or 5. There will be a group project where some materials are give. They are required to use those materials to come out with a solution for the given problem. A teacher will be assigned to each group.Hi, my DS got into Selection Camp on the 29 July..
Any SST parents can share more info on the camp?
Thanks.
It is important that your child participate and not be a bystander. The outcome of the project is not so important, but how the group works together and how your child actively involves in the project is more important. I remember that my child told me there was a boy who is very passive and the teacher needed to prompt him to take part. This is not a good sign as SST has a lot of hands on learning.
After the project, each child will be interviewed individually by the teacher. Just advise your child to be himself/herself and enjoy the camp.
Hope this helps. -

Hi. My DS took his test on 8 July and got the email for selection camp for 29 July. Wondering for the selection camp, how long do we wait before we know if thereβs an offer? And how long do we have to accept the offer if one was given?

My neighbor's DD received email this afternoon for the 5th Aug camp, and is required to rsvp by 27 July.
I guess if no email receive today or tomorrow then likely close case.
Have not told my DS yet, he is going to be so sad
