I bought one for my son early last year. It does work in that i can track his position on my phone through an app. But a few things you should know -

It runs on 2G which is being phased out very soon so you wont be able to use it for long.

If you want live feedback of where your child us you will need to activate i think through smses which cost more if you are roaming. Otherwise it updates every 10 or 15 min I think

Its not super accurate - eg when we are home it registers him sometimes as being across the expressway maybe 700m away.

So all in all my feeling is just teach your child to stay close, its a good learning opportunity

        Something for your consideration:

But I agree with fable. It's better to educate your child to stay close.

I suspect it will require some kind of cellular connection, either through sms or 2g/3g. So monthly telco charges are to be expected. If it is based on 2g, you probably cannot use it in Singapore.

When I was using it, I bought a prepaid card for the phone line / gps. Its not very expensive, but that's probably because ew hardly used it. But the watch I had doesn't work anymore as a tracker because its on the 2G network.

I don't think vendors are even allowed to sell 2G devices in Singapore anymore.

Anyway, a quick google search turns up:
                  https://omg-solutions.com/3g-gps-tracker-watch-waterproof/

I don't know if this is good or not. Never used before.

I bought iCooLive for my child. A good smart watch for a child, I can even make a video call. By the way, I found them at FindTneDecision https://findthedecision.com/best-smartwatch-for-kids/

Maybe you will find something for yourself here.

Does this watch allow calls to be made from the child to the parent and vise versa??
