Maybe he's not a collaborative team player or maybe he \"snatches\" to answer all the questions when in group interview or maybe he has no sense of humour...........
Imp75, you've indicated 3 very important key points during group interview. :salute:Francoise:
btw anyone has any idea if shortlisted for interview, can I safely say at list got Wait List Offer?
Last year, a friend's DS went for HCI interview but didn't make it successfully. We all wondered why because he's a brilliant kid with strong portfolio and was a head prefect in his school. -

Dear parents, has anyone received notification for interview from VS or NJC post- audition? We applied for band.

My DS went for VS arts interview on 19 Jul (audition/test was the week before), it was a group interview with 5 other music students (according to him). Now that I looked at the VS domains, there is no Music domain so the 5 of them are either from band, chinese orchestra or choir.
DS also received notice from NJC on 20 Jul for arts interview on 1 Aug.
If you still have not heard from these 2 schools, best to call them to check. This waiting game can be agonizing. -
Thanks to all the congratulatory notes.
And congrats to fellow parents who receive the CO. Guess we may see each other at the tea session.
I am indeed glad and appreciative that RVHS has shortened the entire DSA process this time:
Mid June - submitted email application
4 July - sms received, shortlisted for sports trial
7 July - Sports trial
20 July - sms received, shortlisted for interview
24 July - Interview
26 July - sms received: DSA successful
The above timeline maybe a helpful guide for P5 parents applying for RVHS next year.
With this, we can close the chapter for now and focus on the upcoming prelims.

Sense of humour is a sign of high IQ, according to some scientific studies. I think there is some truth to this.

To add on to this point, a sense of humour shows maturity of thought. Have you noticed that very young children don't usually get jokes? That is because they are not mature enough to develop a sense of humour and cannot appreciate a joke, much less make one.
In an interview where everyone is dead serious, a person who can display a sense of humour and ease the tension will definitely make an impression. -
