Oh dear higher than past years?[/quote]Well, last year 2C applicants was 133. This year, if including PRs, it is 142. (Just SC is 136.)
So yes, it is higher but it depends on which stage <1km, 1-2km, or >2km.
This year <1km is more but 1-2km is less.

No, meaning total vacancies = 111,
<1km SC applicants = 62 (ie all go in)
1-2km SC applicants = 8 (ie all go in)
>2km SC applicants = 66 (ie balloting required), so 66 applicants vying for remaining 41 spaces via ballot.
It also means no PR will be able to get in.
