      floppy:
Taken from elsewhere, the breakdown for ACSJ is

      50 seats for Phase 2C
      45 (within 1km)
      7 ( within 1-2km)
      15 ( more than 2km)

Hence, with (7) or without (6) the one man, ACSJ would have gone into ballot for the 5 seats.
      Good info.

I wonder about the 15 who are >2km. Don't they know that they will not have a chance to even ballot?

You have already done what you can and things are now beyond your control. No point being too stressed about it. It is only primary school.

Not sure if it can help you, but in such situations, I would just assume that I won't get a place and start planning for Phase 2C(S). If I do actually win the ballot, then it is a bonus. If I don't, well, at least I am mentally prepared for what's next.

We’ll go for balloting next week but I want to start preparing for 2CS.

Hence I want to get the opinion on the following schools so that I can start planning. Any thoughts on +/- of these?

            - Tanjong Katong Primary
            - St Stephen’s
            - Bedok Green

            Many thanks in advance

There are a few factors you should consider when choosing which school
                1. Which school is nearer to your house?
                2. Assuming that your child is a boy since St Stephen is one of your choice then do you have to worry abt p1 registration again if you had a girl unless this is not your concern orelse St Stephen is quite a good school.

Yes thats what i heard as well. My friend's son is in St Stephen's and he is loving it. Heard the school has an understanding and kind culture

Cant comment for Tanjong Katong and Bedok Green as i didnt hear much abt the school. I would assume that perhaps TKPS has more PRs and Foreigners than SC in the school.

Thanks for the input. One question I have is that before 2016 St Stephen was always over subscribed in 2C. However in 2016 and 2016, the take up rate for 2C were only 57% and 36 respectively. Why such a big change? Has anything happened about the school?
