For my child’s DSA confirmed offer 3 years ago, it was stated in the offer letter that the PSLE score had to be at least 200 and above, failing which, the offer would be rescinded. So it’s true that it’s best to check with the school concerned.

In streaming table, there are 2 bands, i.e. >200 pts and 188 - 199 pts. There has to be a reason for creating 2 different bands, although both qualifies for Express stream.


Some months back I have heard from a school principal that DSA express need to be above 200 pts. So I think it is best to check with the secondary school the exact cut off for DSA students, instead of relying on website.

I agree with Harrychew. I have specifically asked a particular IP school during the DSA registration and the reply was a minimum of 200.

May be min200 for IP course? :? Becos with this score it might be a struggle for the DC already.

For example a school that has both IP track and O level track.
If offered IP course DSA minimum PSLE 200
If offered O level express course then could be minimum PSLE 188
For sport DSA, better ask the school, if school offer NA course, could be even lower requirement.

I thought SST is O levels only?

Vaguely recall the requirement for 200 pt was by a principal of non IP school. So better to check with the school when collecting DSA CO.

Hi Harry,

based on SST website, the students need to do GCE \"O\" level.

After \"O\" level, SST students can choose to go Polytechnic, or continue with Junior College education
