Me Time!

Fish Fingers,
Your wife deserves a good rest before the babies arrive. Hope you have some time to spend with her before flying off…but I know you are busy with NDP rehearsals.
Since the girls will be coming here, why not withdraw from school in Malaysia and take this period of time here to get a head start? Or maybe spend some time bonding with mummy? -
Hi FF,
Your twin girls confirmed coming to Sg, to study ?
If confirmed, then no point continue with Malaysia school. Withdraw from Johore bahru school, because they have lots to catch up with our Sg school syllabus, for all the 4 subjects.
Might as well let them attend P4 Sg school now (the school that had already accepted them) lessons : no need to take any P4 SA2 exam in coming October 2017, whatever remaining days are left behind for Term 3, plus another 10 weeks of Term 4, but just let them adjust to new school environment, and to get in tune with the Sg syllabus, for all 4 subjects.
Setting down itself, to a totally new environment : need at least one to two term, for Transfer-in students, depending on how fast / slow, they adapt.
They will be facing new P4 (Form Teachers, Subject Tr, Cca Tr, classmates, school mates, school-bus mates, school premises), etc. -

Fortunately the girls have each other for company here. Totally agree with phtthp. It's pointless continuing in Malaysia. Bring them here asap to get adjusted to the culture and syllabus. They need time to do so. Since your wife won't be working, she can help coach them.Hi FF,

Hi,Janet and Phtthp…
The girls will be repeating P5 next year.I am actually thinking of pulling them out and settle their school enrolment before I leave for Australia and Taiwan after NDP because my wife can’t really drive my car to their current school to attend to them in case of emergency in my absence.Quite dangerous too…
FIL and MIL will be here until I get back.My wife can coach them like what you said and look after the house too.Prepare them to get adapted to the Singaporean educational system too.
I have not been home for a week and my wife is doing a good job with my MIL of looking after the house and the 2 young girls.
This weather is really killing everyone with the intense heat.Even fans don’t work at night as it is mostly hot air.Fortunately, the girls and MIL recovered from their sickness.
Where there is hot weather,I noticed dust tends to gather right after vacuuming and mopping. My wife’s and the girls’ long strands of hair will drop and the floor will be dirty.
Fortunately for me,I shaved my hair so it feels cooler for me haha. -
Withdraw them from Malaysia school, register them in the school here and get all their school stuff.
As for them attending class, I don’t know if they will get stressed if they do not understand. So it may be a good idea for your wife to start coaching them before school starts for them next year. -

That is what I am trying to do right now.I don't want my wife to move around a lot esp outside so it is better for the girls to stay at home so that she can coach them.Withdraw them from Malaysia school, register them in the school here and get all their school stuff.

Fortunately,I have my in laws to help my wife out.She keeps asking me to get stuff from Chateraise for her ever since her first month of pregnancy. The girls also like to eat pastries from there.
Hope they decide to open a branch over here at my side soon.I need a Chateraise shop over here. -

home school them...but also have time for fun as a family before school starts next year.

And if you want to give your wife some rest time, you could enrol your daughters in a nearby tuition centre for some English lessons (or whatever your wife doesn't want to teach), so the girls can have a change of scene too. You could enrol them at P4 level so they will be prepared to enter P5 next year.

Alternatively, can also buy the P5 textbook as per booklist and start coaching them from end of August so that they will not be overwhelmed. Homeschooled them for 4 months I mean, and both mother and children get to stay at home to bond too. There is no English textbooks though, so probably have to buy P5 assessment books instead. And maybe a maths model drawing assessment book if they don’t teach model drawing in JB.
