saw news that PHPS will be upgraded from Jan 2019 onwards for 2 years, and the temp site will be at Cashew (58 Chestnut Drive).

Not sure whether this will affect this year's registration process (as will some parents choose to give up?)

So how does this pan out for parents who are thinking of registering their kids for PHPS?

For those residence <1km of the original PHPS site suddenly become outside >2km? Especially for the periods from Year 2019-est 2021?

Does MOE have a guidline for determining school promixity during upgrading periods?

I'm quite certain that MOE will still use the original permanent address of the school to calculate the distance to your home. Not the temporary holding address:

the original permanent address will be used for p1 registration.

Hi,from what i know(from school bus list given at p1 orientation),no bus to east side..
& i took note of it because my parents stay toa payoh(thought maybe can arrange for kids to go grandparents place after school..),
there is no bus going that area as well(should be due to low demand...)
Only more for west side,like woodlands,jurong east,jurong west,cck,bt pj,bt btok,bt timah etc..
U Can call school/check website,to get bus operators tel to confirm..

Hi,Pinkymin,
You are most welcome! Coz I know it's tough to arrange espeically for working parents,as we also do not have domestic helper/elderly at home..

Alternatively,U can also consider student care within phpps,but i think quite high demand..
& note that 2019-2020,phpps is moving to temporary location(ard cashew drive area,i forgot exact road name,sorry..)for upgrading,
So am not sure how the student care wil be affected as it's run by Glory church..
Think can email/call school to ask(but am not sure whther they will reply though..)

Also,phpps should still be double session,till 2020,meaning p1+2 still afternoon session..
When they move back after upgrading in 2021,
Then will be single session..
