I would guess so as Kay22 has mentioned that now WL letter never mentioned Wl1 or wl2.

If this year 2017 HCI do away with WL2, leaving only WL1, then think Kay22's P6 child should have a high chance, of conversion from WL to CO.

Should I send an email to verify with the school or wait till the clarification session on this Friday? WL could also mean DS has to work hard in order to convert it to CO

You will probably be able to get answers to many of your questions this Friday. My sincere wishes to your DS.

I believe you mean working hard and getting in via PSLE score?

There's nothing you (the child I mean) can do before the school converts WL to a CO...
