MyPillow:
just read slmkhoo post : men cant multi task well- i think my ds is like that , i need to give him more time n b patient with the young man ! i am not upset as long as dh done his house chores or he does things/chores really fast n efficient ( my standard not v high lar, if want his help in chores

But not all women multitask well either - my older daughter can't! Asking her to do more than 1 thing at a time just stresses her and in the end nothing gets done properly. But I think it's generally true.

        Jennifer:
Me time has turned into me chore?

When hubby gets his ME time, he only does one thing -100% attention on the ME time activity which could be watching F1, reading fiction novels or watching YouTube videos.

Whereas I will be multi-tasking- ironing clothes/ folding clothes/ etc n watching KD drama at the same time.

        Life is not fair.

I decided to make it less unfair- he will iron his clothes on Sunday from last week on.

It's a man-woman thing? In general, my observation is that women just naturally and, out of necessity, multitask better than men. As long as my husband does his share of tasks (which in our partnership, are different from mine), I don't care whether he multitasks or does them sequentially, as long as they get done in the end.
I do not see it as multi-tasking weakness, more like \"I want to enjoy my ME time without disturbance/ disruption\". Who does not like this type of ME time? I also want to RR peacefully.

          DH can multitask.

Do and scold kiddos, complain non-stop as he goes about the chore.

                1) Can anyone share how did you squeeze out ME TIME? :?

                2) And what did you do during ME TIME?

other than kids time and couple time and work time and house time. trying to maintain ME TIME is quite tough at times.

When kids sleeping? when all are sleeping? during kids enrichment class time? etc?

It is very impt to have ME TIME. its quiet time to some, its self reflection time for some, its relax time for some. ME TIME allows you to relax and recharge.

                Please share. :rahrah:
Hi, I think it's about managing ourselves and our physical environment. Inner peace is important, as if we do not have that, we can't relax even when our kids are sleeping. Some ways could be meditation, mindfulness exercises, exercising or just basically doing something that you enjoy doing, e.g. reading a favourite book and drinking coffee, going out with friends etc. Couple time is just as important. If you have people who can take care of the kids for a period of time every week, that's an opportunity for you to spend some time with your spouse on a kids free date night!

my me time incl. stolen time, little pockets of time when my mind is freed up..over the years i tend to have found it/ accept it~eg on wheel time in between enjoy a song when dd2 is sitting behind reading or just watching outside the window, mind shut down time when with kids..i will say ssshhhh mommy wants some quiet time, the time i could get the kids out when i m rushing in the kitchen..even the little time in between when i do my baking of more than one type of cakes/buns and/cooking, me time after i sent dds out to their school, in the car and when walk from the carpark back home...in btw will need to plan what to eat, what to buy, what to do etc etc...like most parents, non exhaustive list :rotflmao: ..just got to make do with whatever time i have..now ksp, lying down on sofa after tired of revising, feet on the massager and hand punching hp...ME time šŸ˜‚

yes i do agree ladies can multitask better than man but not necessarily with better output/result..eg an incident when dh and i sending dd for a music exam ..in abt less than 10mins to destination, i looked at my watch..eh got abt 25mins pocket time..wy dont we detour to nlb to drop off the books first..dh told me, do as planned dont think about other things.., all this will only give me stress wor and dd couldn't have time to settle down.
