Rainbow sky:
Thanks Rainbowsky for the comforting words.
Nothing is guranteed. I think exams can work both ways. I have seen cases that didnt do well for prelims but did very well for PSLE. There are also cases that did very well, but not sure what happened on PSLE day. Sometimes could be stress or suddenly don't feel well.
Only 4 weeks left, dont stress them too much.

In the above example that NUSH indicated advance wait list, does RGS inform "queue number" too? Or will we just be in the blind till PSLE results day to see if CO or S1 Posting?

Thanks for all the sharing! The mum said she will let the child decide. The child needs to live with the DSA commitment if she accepts CO, and live with the regret if she could have gone to her dream school. Hopefully that would spur her to work harder. She also needs to know that if she can't get the results to enter either school, she will have to learn to live with it and make the most out of it. Painful, yes, but we don't get all the things we want in life too, isn't it?
If she rejects CO from school B, her DSA efforts will be wasted. PSLE results are uncertain.Cloud Cloud:
[quote=\"mommyNg\"]My friend has this problem. Her DD was unsuccessful from Sch A but received a CO from Sch B. Her choice school is really Sch A. Now her dilemma is whether to reject CO from Sch B and try her best in PSLE to enter her dream Sch A (but risky because you won't know the results until Nov), or to accept CO from Sch B but with possible regret if PSLE results good enough to enter Sch A?
Any parents with past experiences (successful and unsuccessful ones) to share?
No, her DSA efforts will not be wasted. The process, the interview experience, and her ability to make and live with her own decision, are all important to her growth, and hopefully she will emerge from it stronger and wiser.

Agree too!! my DC also did this last year. Eventually, DC was not rejected. She was a little disappointed but this whole experience of DSA makes her stronger and learn to cope with the disappointment more readily. It's afterall, part and parcel of life...

WonderWoman,dunma & Snsn,
Appreciate all your kind sharing & inputs!!! Ours is still a good dilemma so have to be thankful no matter what. Will ask DS to consider carefully for his choice. I dun want to be in our kids' positions nowsdays (so many things to think through) & they are just twelve. Quite sure my parents just made a rough assessment and chop chop decide for me when I was P6 lol... -

I would suggest wait till after she take her PSLE. How confident she is with the papers before deciding whether to accept the CO or not?My friend has this problem.
